About Gixxer SF
Suzuki Gixxer SF is a bike available at a starting price of Rs. 1,27,925 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 3 colours. The Gixxer SF is powered by 155cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 13.4 bhp and a torque of 13.8 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Suzuki Gixxer SF comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Gixxer SF bike weighs 148 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.
The Gixxer SF is Suzuki’s smallest fully-faired offering for India that had received a major overhaul in 2019. The curvy design has been ditched for a sleeker styling which bears close resemblance to its elder sibling, the Gixxer SF 250. The motorcycle now features a full LED headlamp and tail lamp unit, updated digital instrument console, split-seats and clip-on handlebars.
In the powertrain department, the bike continues to be powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor. However, the motor has been tweaked to comply with BS6 emission norms which has resulted in a drop in its performance over the BS4 model. Pumping out 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm, it comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The bike retains the same suspension setup, telescopic forks up front and monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends and is equipped with single-channel ABS. The new model features a 12-litre fuel tank and tips the scale at 146kg, which is about 8kg heavier than its predecessor.
The new Gixxer SF is offered in Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black, Glass Sparkle Black paint schemes, Pearl Mira Red and one with Suzuki’s Racing Blue livery similar to the GSX-RR MotoGP race bike.
